According to the show that I watched. I am hoping that this will narrow things down as far as timelines are concerned.

The program listed this Viking Ruler as living during the pillaging of France, after the ruler who was paid a heavy booty for not pillaging Paris by Charles the Bald. Apparently Charles paid these Vikings who traveled up the Seine in search of booty, and that made them hungry for more.

Anyone know who this is?
