I just stopped by IMDB and you are correct. Legend of Zu is a sequal to Warriors of the Zu Mountains. I haven't seen the first film (1983) so I am sure that I missed much of the story in the sequel (2001) thus is was a little hard to follow. But I do remember that in the sequel the FX was so overdone and so choppy that it detracted form the film as a whole. But with Ekin Cheng, Cecelia Cheung, Kelly Lin, and Zhang Ziyi to entertain it is well worth a viewing....
