Kon and Dallas approach the back of the kitchen at the Red Boar. Using a tree nearby, Kon removes the freshly slain deer from over his shoulders. He guts it and hangs it from the tree to drain. While Dallas waits outside, playing with his axe, Kon tries to poke his head into the kitchen and bumps it on the doorway. Rubbing the top of his head, he finds the woman in charge busy cooking a goose and securing the supply of meade.
"We have fresh game that we kann nicht use. It is hanging there." And Kon points at the tree outside.
He makes eye contact with her and knows she hears him, but he does not wait for a response from the woman. Backing out he glares grimly at Dallas, the Complainer, and they proceed to enter the front door of the bar.
