You go through the last "gate", having completed the last "challenge". Your heart races in your chest as you look around the room before you. You seem to be temporarily blind by the excitement. Or is it the glint of gold everywhere you look that blinds you?
Before you stands the familiar, life-sized statue of Ereshkigal. This time, however, she is cast in gold. Her eyes are red rubies the size of the pad of your thumb. In her crown, there are lapis lazuli studs. Below her feet are smaller figures, done in gold and precious stones, serving their Queen.
Tears stream down your face, unbidden, as you gaze about you. You've done it, you realize as your rear makes contact with the floor. You've found your fame, glory and riches! No more, will you be the laughing stock of the archaeological world.
In the golden dust, you see something poking through. You pick it up and realize it's a plaque. It reads:
