why they had to remake a movie that's been released about 5 years ago and that's considered by the vast majority of the people who've seen it as the best movie of the genre since Seven.
"Infernal Affairs" was released in 2002 and stared two of the finest asian actors to date: Andy Lau and Tony Leung. Oh yeah, the movie's from Hong Kong
Having said that, I guess I can see why now....too bad this amazing movie had to be remade to be viewed by western audiences - it certainly didn't need it, although it's sure to add a fine line on Scorsese and its main actors' CVs, and will probably be more bankable with names and faces more familiar attached to it. Of course, if every good asian movie is to be remade instead of the original being released on western screens, people here will never get used to asian actors' faces *whistle*
