The Louvren in Paris, a most wonderful place!

A world renown museum, houses the Mona-Lisa, fantastic Assyrian reliefs, a great collection of Ancient Egyptian artifacts like steles, statues, reliefs, everyday things, sarcophaguses, including the one of Ramesses III, the famous relief of Hathor welcoming Seti I, the statue of the Scribe Nemtuef at the feet of Dejhuty (Gr: Thoth) in baboon form, and many many other things.

Their website is a joy to explore. Genially built up and easy to navigate. It must be pointed out that the Louvren holds exquisite collections not only from Ancient Egypt but also has Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiquities, Islamic art, Paintings (spanning the period from the 123th Century to 1848) and more. Itīs a museum you donīt want to miss when touring Europe!
