We all sit back down and try not to stare at our new acquaintance as he eats. We are all rather shocked at learning that the General has a son, but do our best not show it. Kamiros is kind enough to make sure that another round of drinks is served to help ease the slight awkwardness of the rest of us having already finished our meals.

"I am sure it is quite a disappointment to have come all this way only to discover that your father has just left the island this very morning. What are you going to do now?" I ask Nikolaos.

"Your Lady Mother has been gracious enough to send a message to him. Hopefully, he will return soon. I will wait here in the meantime."

"Good! Nice to know you will not have to run right off when we have only just met."

If the General should return, that means Con will be coming back with him. I cannot decide if I am grateful Con will be returning or angry with him for leaving without so much as a message to me. I smile at our newcomer and remain quiet so that he may finish his meal. Though curious about Nikolaos' story, we will all have to be patient.
