as always :-) I do not share entirely your point of view, since, while it "is" done elsewhere, I never liked the idea of cities being split between several spaces, unless there's a strong enough cultural and political discontinuity that justifies that you split its history - which wouldn't be the case in the VW since the arrival of the Vikings, while also bringing political changes, has had no impact on the culture of the local people, or so small that we haven't find any notable trace of it yet. So where would you draw the line? Also, while agree that people may join groups if they wish to discuss a specific subject, why would they want to pay sts when most subjects discuted in groups are also reflected in the hoods?

Like you mentioned, however, it is true that the best would be for the slavs to have a hood of their own, but like you added also, there's probably not enough interest for its existence, and maybe not enough interest for the existence of even a city where slavs (or khazars, or any people who lived in the territory that falls under the label "Varangian Way") could be given more importance than just as an afterthought because they did have "relations with the Vikings". And if we were to have a slav hood, since it would completely cover the VW as well, I don't think the very existence of the VW would make much sense anymore

I thank you very much for the estime you seem to give to my work - unfortunately, like I said in previous posts, I was working on the basis, which was shared by others, but maybe not the most practical one in regard to the organization of Germania, as you underlined so accurately, that there would be no particular focus in realms and cities write-ups, apart from the history, urbanism and architecture of the realm/city itself, whatever the actors may be - giving them whatever importance they deserved in regard of the global history of the place. I guess then it is probably best that I bow out from the VW since this approach may be, in that case, creating more problems than helping, and also that the cities that have been suggested by me in Kiev and Novgorod be deleted for the time being - before anyone else buys a property there, and until more suitable cities be rebuilt in their stead - as anyone can see, they bear slavic names, which may not fit in that case, especially since I am not sure those names applied before the 12th century AD, which may be only at the very end of the scoop covered by a viking-centered history of the VW

I sincerely apologize for all the confusion I may have caused - but to my defence, I'll say that it was out of eagerness to help create a space where all the people who played a role in the region would be fairly represented, depending on the importance they played in the shaping of that part of the world
