Let's see... children's chior, Folk group since middle school, Comtemporary choir at various churches... I started singing saprano (well-- really meso-saprano-- let's face it church music rarely gets above and F on th treble clef) and the last 6-7 years I sing alto, because I am loud (er-- strong singer) and we only have 2 altos in our current contemporary choir. Ohh.. and I cantor, and yes singing the psalms is my favorite part when I know the music well and it is a melodic line and my most hated part of cantoring if the psalm is difficult or chant based.

Instrumentalist-- I play flute and piccolo for about 20 years now. Flute since middle school and piccolo as a junior-senior in high school and in college. Played in symphonic bands at high school and college and marched (of course). Still play flute at church to support the liturgy, but the music is not near as challenging as say "Black Horse Troop."

I am a Tau Beta Sigma life member(Band sorority).

So that is me musically--so far-- eventually I really should learn piano and guitar, but I think my kids have a better chance at that than me at this point. I married a low brass (trumpet, baritone, susaphone Phi Mu Alpha brother). We are hoping my son will play french horn and daughter another instrument, but it will really be up to them. Except organ lessons form Daniel's godfather are going to happen when his fingers get a little longer and he can sit still a little more.

Well, that is my musical life in a nutshell!
