Though it hasn't been very active, my group The Flooding of the Black Sea" has lots of info on Asia Minor. It seems that COULD be where the Sumerians, Egyptians and many other people came from. In fact, if you want to design a game for people to play, you could have them choose a race of people from around the shoreline (like the Pre-Dynastic Egyptians), and then lead them through various dangers to their eventual home in Egypt. There were lots of dangers - lions, scorpions, bad water, no water, and poisonous snakes. Crocodiles extended up into modern day Israel, and tigers may have extended to some point in Iraq/Iran. Some of the people fleeing that flood didn't stop moving till they reached the Paris basin in modern France. And of course, Asia Minor is, perhaps, the home of the first city. Perhaps a game could be set up, in which the player searches for a location with food, water, game, fruit, and not too many volcanoes.
