This hasn't been mentioned in tutorials, but I wasn't sure where it was best to put this question. Hope here is ok.
I am learning how to construct HTML emails and really *need* to use CSS to design them. I have learned in my studies that you must use "inline" CSS for this because *most* email programs strip away the CSS when it is used in the head between style tags. SO, I've been learning to do it inline, but I have a HUGE problem: I can't figure out how to control link colors/behavior inline. Link colors are set by browsers or email programs and since I'm using a certain selection of colors, I need to control the link colors or that text is not readable. In this specific case, I have a dark background and white text. When I send the email, the link is in a dark, reddish color and is almost completely invisible.
I'm desperate for an answer to this and I have googled and dog-piled my head off about it -- to no avail. Is anyone out there familiar with this? Or do you know of a resource I can purchase that will help me? My 3 new books on CSS are absolutely USELESS on the subject. *sigh* Iwould greatly appreciate any help you can give.
