THanks Heraklia; noone else has come up wiht any comment. What I was complaining about was primarily the geography of the two musketeers' trip on the raft all the way from the west coast where they must have been shipwrecked, around Greece to the east coast where Pompey fled from defeat. I DO agree that the Pompey actor (I've lost his name. something like Kenneth branham) was wonderful as Pompey-- right through the series.And they had to rewrite his flight; Cornelia wasn't wiht him-he had sent her to safety in Lesbos, and they did not have two small children one of them female; he fled on horseback to the coast then by ship, accompanied by a number of senators on his or other ships.
I am happy to have them add something in charctaer to the historicla data, but prefer them not to go against what si actually a very dramatic story available in detail
TheAMPHORA discussion was supposed to go into the next issue of the magazine-=they wouldn't have posted it yet.
