    all the typwriters were manual, as were the adding machines, and all the phones were rotary dial. Which was an improvement over the first phones I used before I started working. They hung on the wall, you lifted the ear piece and put it to you ear, and cranked a handle to get the operator, who then conected you to the number you were calling. I guess that really dates me!
