Excellent questions Alberich! *g* I'll do my best to answer, but let me know if you have more questions. LOL
1) As of yet we haven't completely formed the character of our king so we could probably all collaborate on that. Would we want him of the treacherous bend so you're never completely sure of your footing with him? Someone strong or weak or both? I'm fairly open here. *g*
2) The action, or the majority of it, will take place in Buda, Pest and Obuda (they didn't all merge into one city until the 1800's). Obuda is the old Buda - the Buda that existed prior to the Mongol invasion. After that the old Buda became literally the old Buda (Obuda). LOL Buda as we know it now was the newer version of the city and then we have Pest across the river (the east side). Since we are being rather lenient in regards to historical accuracy, Obuda might be a good place for those of rather low social status, it's on the same side of the river as Buda (the west side) and not that far distant. For the roleplay threads we'll probably have a few at least. I know that it can be difficult on the occasion to bounce from one thread to the other as the roleplay moves around, but maybe if we're moving from one thread to another we could just include a link to the previous post that pertains to ours? (ie Sev is in the castle district while I'm in Obuda and he's heading over to see me - in his next post in the Obuda thread he could enclose a link to his last post in the series - hope that made sense)
3) We'll probably start off with a general sketch and then let everyone develop from there. We'd only ask that they don't start galloping off in a direction that was never intended. LOL
4) We're hoping to get up some rather general information like I mentioned above prior to getting the roleplay started. Just the basics so everyone can be on the same page and some general background information about the place and period. I'm aiming for making some of those posts this weekend, but they would be similar to the information I provided above regarding Buda, Obuda and Pest. *g*
That said, we are looking to get the roleplay started fairly quickly. *g* Oh and before I forget, for those that noticed Alberich's posted bio and his mention of Vlad III Dracula (aka Vlad Tepes) at the end - this is going to be the historical figure. No vamps please. We're the Underworld, but just not that Underworld. LOL
