You know, I've always meant to also, both watch and read the book. I've read other Dashiell Hammett books and found them excellent and it's always fun to read books that follow his style of writing.

The Sound of Music I saw and it was pretty good too, but my sister watched it far too often while growing up. I think I've seen it at least 20 times.
