I figured that, since I haven't posted in a long while (Reason - School and Elder Scrolls IV), I figured I'd like to start this love story. I think a bit of a Cymric feel might be nice ...

"Marchwyr ap Maelgan was a student of the high poet Caswallawn in the court of King Dunwallawn ap Urien in the northern coastal kingdom of Ysgrant. Marchwyr was of the swarthy southern Silurian stock and so was much looked down upon by many others in the court, but he did his best to take no notice of the dislike.

His studies were intense under the tutelage of Caswallawn. Caswallawn was a typical high bard, snooty and quick to anger. Always were the court officials and local dukes afraid of his power to curse them, and they had good reason to, as well - the last person he satirised was found dead among the rocks of the dangerous coastline.

    One morning, at court ..."

(If there are problems with this story starting so, then I have no objection to someone else taking over the starting point.)
