Persian Journal has the article "Jiroft Inscription", Oldest Evidence of Written Language on a discovered Elamit brick insription in a palace in the city of Jiroft, Iran.

Archaeologists think that Jiroft was the origin of Elamit written language, and they have concluded that the inscription is 300 years older than the Elamit script of the Susinak inscription found in Susa. The Susinak inscription is most probably left from the reign of Susinak, Elamite king who ruled during the second half of the first millennium BC.

Probably, the Elamit inscription in Jiroft is the most ancient written language.
