    Is it just me, or is Gladiator the most historicaly inaccurate movie to ever win an Academy Award? Is it Bravehart, or perhaps something else? ...

    Actually, Burton's acting was growing worse. The Robe, the first full-length feature filmed in "Cinemascope," was released in 1952. Cleopatra didn't begin filming until around 1959, then with all the delays caused by Elizabeth Taylor's near fatal illness and other problems, it wasn't released until ca. 1964? I don't have my references here with me--my Aunt is visiting relatives in Neapolis.
