.....However strong arguments can be made for other board arrangements, of Fidchell, such as a quartered circle, which would also meet the old descriptions......
I remember reading somewhere that Fidchell was played on a quartered circle, like the land of Ireland was quartered. The druids would play the game and it would tell them things about the year to come over all the land.
