The main problem SPQR has, is that it's not violent enough. This is absolutely amazing, considering what we have to work with: Roman history.
How about for starters, we model games on the 7 kings?
Like you're a senator, and you have to chop Romulus up, hide bits of him in your toga, dump them, and convince the dopey plebs that the fairies have carried him up to heaven? That combines roleplay, bloody bits & strategy. It's got to be a winner.
Another King can have to dodge the thunderbolt, another one dodge the axe, another one dodge the chariot.
The only thing we seem to be missing from Early Roman history; and that all the other games like tombrider have; is the heroine with big tits.
Any ideas?
