    and the morning of activity has begun on the square. Vendors have begun to sell their wares. We stop at a small kiosk in the market and are served a strong beverage of grain and goat milk. I detect the taste of chicory.

    Then Idomeneus escourts us to another road. How can people live here I think to myself. Indeed there is a special beauty high up overlooking the sea. I peer down to see a view of the harbor. Our ship the Delphinis looks there to be a tiny toy.

    Cezare is exclaiming how good it is to have one's feet on solid ground when the earth appears to tremble. What is going on here? Theseus tells me that periodicly the island is evacuated. Have they offended the gods? I dare not to ask least I be considered impolite.

    What is it that is here that would make people want to stay, other than a glorious view?

    Crops would be sparse They will need many imports to survive. This is why we have come for the purpose of trade. What is it they have to barter with I wonder?
