The one thing we know on this world is that we are not going to live in the form that we are forever. Like it or not, death has been a human preoccupation since time immemorial. Many advanced civilizations - ancient Egypt springs to mind, were obssessed with death. And isn't the End of the World the ultimate expression of death ? Its hardly surprising that it should be such a perennial fear, really.
