would be about right in any group - like when you invite 50 people to a party, count on approximately 20% RSVPing and showing up.
Yet even with twenty-four active members in Celtia (if we look at the 120 figure), our public threads are fairly bare. Forums go for weeks, some even months without any participation. These threads are not cleared or deleted (and I understand why), but manuevering through is really difficult and one can get easily lost.
The pub area should be one in which all people feel comfortable entering, exploring, and even role-playing, yet Celtia seems fairly vacant; especially in comparison to the other worlds. This is true of some of Celtia's trivia boards and game threads. Even those with only four allowable posts per day and active in Celtia are not always posting in Celtia. Sure, the purchasing power of a patron gets more posts per day, but with so little interaction in Celtia is the solution really to become a patron? Personally, the lack of interaction is one of the reasons I have not chosen to spend my money on a patron status. I am sure the issue is more complex than a solution "become a patron" would offer. Other realms' participants are not all patrons and scribes. Perhaps men in kilts would be another solution that would garner more interest? *g*
I think participation should be looked at seriously, especially with the guilds being open. The guilds should be a great place to really interact. It would be such a shame for them to be vacant. Simplifying the way in which the guilds are presented may be one solution pout of money.
