Will you be part of our story?
As archaeologists uncover a section of the Great Wall of China, writers from the wall's ancient beginnings come to life once again... We invite you to The Orient's interactive storytelling event of the season! Memoirs of the Great Wall is a non-competitive written work, combining a modern story with it's ancient counterparts. We are looking for storytellers now, and hope you will consider signing up (link above) and create a charactor with us!
Charactors can work alone or in a team, and we ask that they choose an artifact to associate their characters to, and notify one of the members of the dig team of their choice. Then, the dig will "uncover" their artifact at a time of the writer's choosing. From there, it's completely up to the storyteller to start their tale of how the artifact came to be there. This event starts on The Orient's springfest day (saturday the 30th of April) but is ongoing for as long as participants wish it to be. Two weeks, three, maybe longer. You can finish your story in as little as three posts though, or as long as you wish! We look forward to your interactive story, should you decide to create it.

And of course, this isn't our only Springfest event, or even our main one! Action packed Mt. Everest climbs, relaxing teapot decorating and tea-sipping, challenging quizzes and some very educational articles have also been put together. All of these and more can be located from our Orient Festival Guide or from the Teahouse of the April Moon. Hope to see you there, all day Saturday the 30th!
