On a bright and glorious day, my family needed some food and today seemed the best day to get it. My mother, father, brothers and sisters were all ill from some kind of sickness, and I was the only one healthy enough to hunt. I, being a girl, had never hunted a Bei Bao before but used to chase them around in the fields as if they were chickens. I actually had to take out my bow and kill one of the poor creatures that I had always loved and cherished.

As I started to head out, I looked out my window and saw a fat one sitting in a tree not far off from my house. I went outside and was ready tp shoot when it flew away. It sprouted what looked like wings and flew away. I ran into the woods to find it and there it was in another tree as if nothing ever happened. It looked down and saw me, it knew what I was going to do.

I shot at it and I would have gotten it if it hadn't vanished into thin air. I looked everywhere to find it, but it was no where.

As I started to go home, I knew that I would never live that one down. I had seen my brothers catch Bao Bei's millions of times and for me to fail, there was just no end to the torment I would get. I came up with a story, and a good one I thought, on my way home that I was going to tell my family.

"Mom, Dad, I couldn't kill that poor innocent animal. I have grown up loving them and I couldn't bring myself to do it."

That's what I told them, yes sir that's what I told them. Unfortunatly for me, my brothers followed me and they saw the whole thing!

"Not even, the thing vanished before the arrow was aimed at it!" They laughed.

I have never lived that one down. Everytime my family sees me they laugh. That's what I get I guess.
