Revelations is really where most the end of world prophesies arise from. And see it as a future generation.

However, if you refer to where Jesus speaks of his return to his disciples (Luke 21:32), Jesus states "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled." Actually, to read the full prophecy content, it's Luke 21:6-36.

It does tell of all the warning signs etc. It's quite facinating really.
