The storm has passed and the air is clear and clean, though the frost mite is nipping at any flesh it can get to.
The last of the bags, what am I saying that makes it sound as though we have a great deal with us. Some material for making some new clothing, a couple of iron trading rods and our skins bed.
It makes up our home on the move.
Well soon the pain of the past will be completely behind us and we will be able to start anew. It would help if I wasn’t so far along my time in this world, but how can you complain when the gods give us gifts, whenever they do it.
Vagun is a mighty happy fellow, and he quickly makes room on his cart for Flidhais and myself, the wolves will be happy to run along side.
I lift Flidhais up on the back of the cart; she gives me such a look every time I do things like this. Yes I know you can do it yourself But I like to help.
A big smile breaks over my face as I look at her.
We make ourselves comfortable close to Vagun, facing backward. With some skins to hand to pull around us if the weather turns any more nippy.
“This is very good of you friend” I call to our smithy.
His carefree reply booms over me and we set off.
I’m concerned the Bryn may have found yet more complications while working for the druids, seeing as they want us. He has show true loyalty.
As for our other guests as they head out on the roads, hmm, I believe Bryn may have met his match in Val. The other two, didn’t like the woman, she was hiding something.
The sun smiles down on us, our faces glow in the morning warmth
‘This has to be a good sign’
Flidhais curls up to me and drifts off, she can sleep anywhere. She didn’t sleep to well last night, was having a bad dream I feel, but she’ll tell me when she’s ready.
The animals run and play as we move along the countryside. They seem lost in play and don’t notice the hares the make for cover as we pass.
‘Yes this is the right path and we are travelling at the right time, I feel good, very good’
