Caesar's Courier was shucking it in. What a job - the pay was lousy and just when he thought he would be able to have some time to look at the local sight especially the liquid ones - instead he had to take another message to Quintus Tullius Cicero

Marcus stopped moping and looked hopeful. Africa had sounded like an adventure too far, when uncle had told him that 'to volunteer' could be used in the passive. Trust his father to dream that one up. Never again...

Nothing much, Marcus is apologizing for HIS Latin. He suggests that our chances for survival may be better if we make a friend of Juba and use him or rather his troops against Verus. Apparently Juba is a friend of Caesar...good I hope your father is right for once.
