We know little about Minoan clothing save what can be gleaned from the artifacts and frescoes discovered on the island of Crete.
There was a most interesting article in the May/June 2000 issue of Archaeology magazine which was written by someone who had attempted to reproduce the female clothing of the Minoans using the archaeological evidence available. She wrote up the fabric production and her construction methods. I remember that her article sparked a dabate at the time. I was fascinated by this article and the subsequent debate, and though I never throw out any of my Archaeology magazines in case I might be needing them for something, I can't lay my hands on any of the pertinent ones now. The Archaeology Magazine website only has an abstract from the article, HERE. Perhaps one of you has a copy of the article?
