For years I had aloe plants in my kitchen. Get a burn, snip off a piece and it soothes the burn. Recently we bought an aloe plant about 12 inches high. I transplanted it and cut off 2 stems to dry out and grow new plants. Well, the kitchen smelled like a high school gym locker. The stink was unbelievable! I had to get the plant and the 2 stems out in the backyard and spray the house. This has never happened to me before. Anyone here know of an aloe plant having this awful smell after it was cut, or why it happened?? Aloephobic down South....
