Marcus Junior was at his wits end. According to Pomponia his uncle and cousin should be somewhere around here and so should Caesar. But could he find them?

After the last few weeks he spent in Italy he thought a change of air and bringing the news to Quintus would be a good idea, but no he was less sure.

He had left his dad in quite a state and wasn't quite sure that he was going to trust the doctor's statement that he would recover. Tullia and his mother had been everything a teenager could hope for in the situation - hysterical, recriminatory, shouting and literally all over the place. At least they had not accused him of poisoning dad - well, actually they had - but given that they were also accusing him of carousing with all of Naples and Rome at the same time he thought that was possibly not quite seriously meant.
He didn't stay to find out if their suggestion of going and taking care of his father's business was born of the same insanity...in fact to judge from his travelling time there seems to be have been a lot of urgency in getting out. Ohhh, he hated older sisters.. and mothers for that matter. He really did.

If only he could find Caesar - perhaps he could point him to somewhere nice quiet and uncomplicated - like a battle in full swing - something big to hit - that would do it....

Quintus looked around and went in search of Caesar, a pub brawl and some alcohol - not necessarily in that order
