    If he could get his hands on Chinese silk, a mongol warrior would wear undergarments of this fabric. The reason was that the toughness and dense weave would prevent arrows shot from long range to penetrate the cloth. Thus, if the arrow penetrated the skin it could easily be removed and the wound would be less likely to become infected.
