In short, A Geisha is a woman, highly trained in the arts, who gets paid to entertain at parties with games, music, dance, or conversation. She must stroke the ego, and make her clients feel like they have done no wrong, can do no wrong, and will never do any wrong.
A Geisha's job is always never done, she has to attend classes and practice until she's perfect. The life behind the painted smile is a Floating Willow World,a geisha has to wake up early in the morning to do her make-up,put her wig on, and kimono.
At night she has to go to Ochaya's [Tea Houses],her job is to entertain the people in the ochaya with thier skills.A geisha uses her skills to entertain guest like social skills, art skills, and game skills.
Geisha's take diffrent classes about 5 weeks of training on one skill everymonth,a geisha takes diffrent classes like musical classes where they learn a traditional japanese instrument, dance classes where they learn dances to tell a story, and also traditional games.
They wear kimono everyday, one geisha must have thousands of kimonos and only wore them once.A geisha must find a person to sponsor her to buy new items,an example is a katsura wig [wig used by geisha's instead of thier real hair], a katsura wig alone cost $5,000 and a kimono too.
I am very fond on geisha history and apprciate them, geisha's had preserved old skills and culture, bear with me and hope that the geisha will continue on.
