Bran's wordless chants may contain power thru the vibration, pitch, tone etc of the sounds produced.

However, I feel that uttering the thought/symbols which we call words enhances my ability to visualize what I am attempting to do. Magic, as a word, may be defined; but magic as an action is a slippery critter. Many attempts have been made to define it, but every definition seems to lack something.
