Well Caius, how to define Firefly except by "the best damn TV show to grace our screens for years". It was witty, it was sci-fi but so much more and as Fenton said, it wasn't your usual black and white. And it was by Joss Whedon, the guy behind Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Angel, who also has been asked for help several times by Hollywood as a script doctor, and who had been rumoured for a while to direct X3 (which director, said Marvel's Avi Arad on Tuesday, should be 'announced shortly').
It's a pity that it got cancelled so quick really (after only half a season), but fear not: in case you didn't know, the movie, which is called Serenity and was directed by Whedon himself, should be out this year. Certainly one at the top of my "most-expected" movies of the year list, with Aranofsky's The Fountain, Nolan's Batman, Cronenberg's A History of Violence, Chow's Kung-Fu Hustle and Peter "King" Jackson's King Kong.
I think there's gonna be enough excitement this year ;-)
