Manuan's Granddaughter is a tough nut to crack, but I am sure that I am being compelling when she steps back and starts a chant. One note, but it starts draining my energy out of me. Back into the land.
Ohhhh, I'm mad now. Up until now I have been toying with these mortals, stringing out their pain, making them suffer, since it feeds me, but HER I will simply destroy.
After all, that will hurt Manuan too.
I raise my hands and prepare to suck her soul out of her, when movement off to my side catches my attention. The warrior that is incapable of doing any harm to me has pulled his silver dagger and thrown it at me.
How quaint.
I place my hand in its path, to intercept the puny weapon and show him just how insignificant his effort is, and the dagger thuds home in my palm.
At first, there is no pain. And then agony shoots up my arm, and down through my body. I watch stupidly as my hand, and then my arm turns to ash and vanishes, and my shriek of pain mingles with the ash of my shoulder and mouth, as they too disintegrate....
And thus, I die.
