From L. Caesar quae. to P. Scipio prae., greetings!
If you are well, I am well. How is the recruitment going? I am sending you the reports from the north. I need not tell you how much I’m worried about our Thracian embassy. I have sent letter after letter and have had no answer. Perhaps we should not wait any longer and send some troops in? You remember that the chief civilian ambassador is Alexander Callias; his brother Atticus is my friend and a man of huge standing, wealth and power in Athens, and it would be very embarrassing if anything happened to Alexander.
Your thoughts please! Be well.
