This was a feast in honor of Athena, which contained certain rites, performed by two small girls, known as arrephoroi, and were similar to Anodos durring Thesmophoria.
There is not much known about the festival and ritual of Skirophoria. It appears to have involved a common sacrifice to Demeter, her daughter Kore, Athena and Poseidon; the Dipolia or Bouphonia, durring which a plough-ox was sacrificed to Zeus.
