As the subject states, there is a conflict between what the religious community and scientific community believe what happens when people experience NDE. I think both sides cannot claim to have the answer.
Science cannot explain many mysteries in our universe, with many of these mysteries defying the laws of physics.
Religion cannot claim it has the answers either. NDE is unique to each individual. Many donot have any religious background, yet experience religious NDE, and vice versa, many religious people that experience NDE donot experience anything related to religion. Yet most NDE reported do have a religious connotations to them.
I like to refer what Jesus said (paraphrasing, not exact quote), "In my fathers kingdom there are many mansions".
I my wife (now deceased) experienced a nde in her childhood after falling into a tub of scalding water. She said she was in a large garden where cherubs danced and played with her. There was more to this, but I can't remember it all.
With that, we need to keep our minds open and not be afraid to explore what is beyond our physical universe and not be quick to reject other viewpoints.
I am dismayed a bit about the lack of any new threads here in the past year and half.
