A Roman Tropaeum (trophy/monument) from the Battle of Orchomenos in 86 B.C., wherein Sulla defeated a massive Eastern army led by Mithridates VI of Pontus, has been discovered by a farmer in central Greece near the town of the same name. Here's a link to a story on the AP Wire (by way of Yahoo). There's even a photograph of the broken remains of the monument (click on it to enlarge). According to the story, the remains of the Tropaeum from the companion (and better-known) battle of Chaeronea were found nearby in 1990.
