Controlling sexual content is likely to be as difficult for demis as it is for the government. It's not likely to bew either black or white. Firstly, each demi/scribe is likely to have their own values. Without uniform values, there must be uniform rules, with which to make judgements by. I don't believe there are specific rules here, so that would leave it up to individual values. That would mean each official will read the post on their own, and the one with the, er, 'tightest' standards will be doing most of the censoring..... Probably not the best way. The best way would be for each official to have to read the post, and then take a vote (sorta like the Supreme Court, eh jojo?). Of course, that may mean a lot of work for the demis/scribes. Maybe there should be a committee to do the judging - that would lower the work load to the rest of the officials (and another point jojo would be interested in). If it's decided to use a committee, perhaps the members should be anonymous, to avoid angry backlashes. In extreme cases, the decisions will be obvious, but what about the borderline ones. Curse-words or only sexual words, "cute heinie" might not be offensive by itself, but what if the author uses it 30 times in a post. Several famous authors are famous for sexual content, but are loved because/in-spite of it because they are extremely talented writers. If rules for a committee to follow are needed, who knows enough about writing to provide them (how many mildly offensive words in how many sentences, how many extremely offensive words....). I know there are 'some' members among the scribes/deii who have had various levels of training in jurisprudence. I suggest they dust off those books and join or back a committee. I wouldn't care for the job....I'd feel like Indiana Jones trying to decide if I should step on the red brick or the green one. :-)
