You'll fit in fine, I think. We're starting to work on our "backstories" already... I think we're going to get started about 10 years after the last events at the Crannog and the Brugh. That would put Brandubh in his thirties, most definitely a Clan Elder. It's about the third century Connacht. Prior to St. Patrick's arrival on the emerald Isle, if that helps.
By the way, despite the fact that Christianity hasn't made it "officially" to Ireland, if anyone is particularly interested in playing a Xian part, one can always be a pre-Patrician missionary.
Bearing in mind historical accuracy: The Council of Nicaea hasn't yet taken place so you can't quote "the Bible" there is no Christian Bible! You'll have to make do with the countless books of scripture, most of which you won't have access to, if you can even read, and decide whether you're an Orthodox or a Gnostic. Go read up on the early differences if you don't know what they are.
