I had no idea that the sea god Manannan played such a large part in the past history of Clan Niall. And I'm not even sure exactly what part that is, except that it must be huge from what I've read of Crannog Niall so far. I guess it's time to ask a few questions of the veterans of the family about what my role should be. I am absolutely enthralled by Brandubh's daily postings from the old RP! Every day I look forward to reading more. It makes me very eager to start writing a new chapter of Crannog Niall with my newfound family. Is it too early to start discussing what comes next? Or should I just sit back and learn the history?
I supposed I should explain my choice of name. When I became Manannan Niall, it was for the purpose of playing the role of the sea god in the Imram warriors' challenge at Samhain. I chose Niall more or less at random. After Samhain, I noticed some activity going on with Clan Niall and decided to get involved. So here I am! What is my role now? Am I still a sea god? Or am I just an ordinary man who happens to carry that name? I tend to lean to the latter choice now. Nevertheless, I am marveling at the serendipitous sequence of events that brought me here and introduced me - no, more like swept me along - to Crannog Niall. Thank you, Moss, Ladee and Brandubh, for welcoming me so warmly and making me feel very much at home!
