Muirianna McLir

Based on the Silkie of Iniss Rone, Muirianna is water colour on wood. The storm in the background is a tribute to Lir and his son Mannanan. For comparison I painted a hot air balloon escaping the tidal wave. It is a tranquil eye of the storm.
This work is originally a mural in Duran Cnag that I did in '93 and photographed to re-create here in the States. The Mural was/is in Enamel.
