by A.S. Byatt is without a doubt my absolute favourite novel. It is at once a mystery, an intellectual piece, a romance,and poetic. Byatt's incredible and proficient use of the English language here, makes most others writers pale in comparison. Winner of the Booker Award, this novel was also made into a movie recently. Please read. I give it 5 diamonds out of 5!
