I have a suggestion to help get and keep groups active and vibrant. This summer, in Exotikos, we created a new position in the group heirarchy: Chatelaine of the Islands. "The office of chatelaine exists to welcome new members and to encourage all members to participate on group boards."

Perhaps other groups can create a similar job. It's just a thought. Here is a letter that went out to all the group's members:
