my lastname is bocanegra which means blackmouth. I know that my lastname origionated from the myan indians. my greatgrandmother told me there was a prince from another land, on a voyage he came across a royal family with the lastname bocanegra, he was introduced to the princess he fell in love at first site. He promised to wed her. When he returned to tell his father her finally found a bride, he was happy until the prince confessed she was of a different race. she was indian. His father forbid him to see her, or marry her. The prince was left with no choice inspite of his fathers wishes. He left his kingdom to marry her , he was excepted as her husband. she gave her lastname to him, therefore the name has continued through generation to generation, to me. i've tried researching this, dont know any sites or links. would really appreciate some feedback. thanks melissa Bocanegra
