Welcome
The Flooding of the Black Sea
In 5600, the Mediterranean flooded into the Black Sea lake with so much force, it drove the many peoples around it far away. Some carried civilization to Sumeria and Egypt, others built the world's largest buildings along their path to modern-day Paris. Come face the starvation, theft and wars these people encountered.

I can't even fathom something so tremendous! But even at the proposed rate of 56,640 cubic meters/second for the Black Sea waterfall you can just imagine the impact it must have had on the peoples in the area. It would be something that none of their historical stories passed down would have covered, being so far above and beyond what the cultures were used to dealing with.

In fact, after digging through CIA's factbook and comparing the population of the USA (about 300million) that means 3 gallons of water for every citizen of the USA each minute!

Truly stupendous, and in picturing such an event I'd imagine that would cause quite alot of religious explanations since natural would have seemed so far unable to explain it. What in the religious records discuss such a monumental event?
