Here is Samosata, the city whose name meant "The Sun"...and it's dawning as I come across it.So this is the great capital of the small but rich Kingdom of Commagene.I heard that this region was once called Kummuhu in the late Hittite period...and here is the town of Charmodara. Now there are two indications...Arsameia to the Nympheios river and Arsameia on the Euphrates River...of course. Now which one?
Oh, khaire , Sybilla Aristocratos?I have just a little orientation problem , could you please enlighten me...I'll hold the torch over that flapping map.Really windy region here. What do you say? ..." EENY MEENY MINIE MO!"??? What a strange oracle...hehehe!Well---Sybillas weren't ever that crystal clear--- Then Arsameia on the Nympheios will be!Bye Sybilla and thanks!
