arrived in Noviomagus Batavorum. I just hate travelling by carriage, when it has to be so fast, necessary though with all the stuff I brought. I wonder if the speed record from Rome to here was broken? I am sure only Caesar's forced marches were faster, but then nobody can beat that. I almost feel like was one of his soldiers.

What time is it? Where is the sun, so I can use my portable Swatchius watch? It is difficult to see, but it seems to around the X hour, still time to find the Golden Phoenix.

Excuse me sir, have the Golden Phoenix arrived? Oh, you do not speak Latin. Entschuldingen mein Herr, wissen Sie ob das Schiff The Golden Phoenix ist anlaufen? Danke sehr. Amazing he understood my German - a bit rusty though.

Where is my ticket, Xenocleia? Give it to me. Do you have my entire luggage? Go and find somebody to carry it to the ship. Strange normally one cannot spit for porters. Let’s find The Golden Phoenix.

I wonder if I will meet anybody I know. Ah, as long as I get to sell a lot of my beautiful amber jewellery.
